:: wooohooo!!! ::jufFeNder 9/26/2005 12:36:00 AM

gonna get my pink ic today. yeah sharil told me to collect it today, monday. and my boss called to collect my COS and my testimonial as well. can't wait to get my hands on those.

ok, so i had a chalet outing out with the guys from the 23rd till 25th... i only stayed over from the 23rd to the 24th though. i went to help fadz to shift his packed stuffs to his aunt's place on the 25th. but i had a great time with the guys over at the chalet. and yes u read it right, all guys chalet!!! and it's not a gay party as some would perceive it would be if they were on the bus and seeing a dozen bare bodied guys running around, jumping into the pool and having a sweaty bbq session. if i were on the bus, i'd say it's a gay party too. haah! anyway, thanx to melvin, shermin, hasry, sharil and zahri and me for doing the preparations before the dudes arrive for the bbq on the 24th. it's been super great fun. shall wait and see if hasry has the photos uploaded and shared...

ok, so if u guys noticed, i have a new layout and things like that. and the figure on the background image is actually my beloved. i took a photo while she was asleep the other day. she looks so pretty when she's asleep i tell you. *pulls back the string* come down honey... don't fly so high ah... :D

alrighty... i'll do a post ORD entry after this, equipped with photos and my thoughts on my national service life. so look out for that. cheers my friends...

:: the greatest thing ::jufFeNder 9/18/2005 02:30:00 AM

you know... sometimes and just sometimes... you just know that the greatest thing just happened to you. and sometimes, just sometimes, you won't know that that something you have with you is the greatest thing ever you had in your life until the day you lose it.

if you know that that something is the greatest thing you have in life at the moment, my worthless thoughts would say... don't let it go and give it all the attention it needs. but at the same time, don't push it to the extreme that it'll turn out to be that something you can't grasp on in life. like they say, the greatest thing is like sand in the palm of your hands. clench your fist thinking that you wanna hold on to it and the sand will spill out of your hands. let it stay, and most of it will remain.

because sometimes and just sometimes in life, that greatest thing you have has feelings too. sometimes and just sometimes, it can think on its own and know what's best for itself. and in that case you just have to pray hard that that greatest thing won't turn its back on you.

in this case that i'm talking about, the greatest thing will turn out to be an individual. someone whom you know is special.

sometimes and just sometimes, experiences in life teaches us a lot of things. you might have thought that you've had the greatest, but what's the greatest after the greatest have gone by you? well definitely there's no such word as 'greatest-er' or 'greatest-est'. but there are such words as 'moving on'.

we humans aren't perfect at all. in fact, we're not even close to perfection and perfection is one word or description none of us will ever be. but in the process of life, in the path that lies rocky and full of tests, we try to be perfect and in that process, we try to be the greatest thing. well if not for ourselves, then it's always to please someone else isn't it?

then in that case, we, in one way or another, with or without noticing it, are someone else's greatest thing in life.

me for one, have found the greatest thing in life and i'm nothing short of thankful, to HIM and to everything else that i had to go through to get to where i am today. the treasure lo and behold, comes in the form of my beloved.

she is that greatest thing i have in life because i can see the future with her and the greatest thing about that is we're on the same page. and from where i'm standing, i can see the peak of the mountain and i can see the trail that i've got to go to reach to the top, with her. and that is something so great, i can't even find the superlative to describe it.

definitely the road ain't as nicely paved, cemented, marked with directions and installed with an escalator as i would paint it to be... but it's definitely a path i'm looking forward to walk through with her. our trials and jubilations lie solely in HIS hands. but that does not rule the way that we should think. cos every choice that we make will have its own consequence. and going through that road with our choices will be the greatest thing.

well... have you found your greatest thing yet?

:: marathon virgin and... ::jufFeNder 9/11/2005 11:07:00 PM

so i dragged my ass up today at 0500hrs. psychoed by hong meng to go for the army half marathon together with nick, ray, shermin and ZQ. so we're a team of six police dudes from the 39ers headin for the run.

well, i can say that it's my first proper marathon while the rest of the dudes already had their mizuno run and watever run experiences under their belt. nonetheless, i thought that it'd be a good challenge for myself. something i wanna do for so long but dun get the chance to do it till now. so i strapped on my eyebags and running shoes and started running, pretending i was a veteran in marathons, but the pseudo me is hiding it all inside.

well, they call it the army half marathon but the pussy me only took up the 6km challenge [after the race i found out that it was 6.9km btw]. but it was a start right? if u dun try, then u wun know what to expect. and amazingly, i still have that little stamina in me to complete the run in acceptable time [OSA]. but it's great. at least i get to show the other army pussies that running is better than whining. pussies.

with my legs a little tired from the run, i proceeded to change and made my way to meet my sweetheart who's finishin off her graveyard shift. if i thought i was tired, then it's nothing compared to what she's been through. i love you honey... *massage massage* helped her to carry one hell of a heavy bag filled with tonnes of documents containing god-knows-what and escorted her home. i'll be meeting her tomorrow as well, so it's a yeyness baby!

i'll punch in again. wooots!

:: cookie boy ::jufFeNder 9/03/2005 02:11:00 AM

ok so i'm temping over at james' workplace. helping out a lil by being a cookie boy. yes you can call me that. basically, i serve cookies and brownies and make coffee etc etc. luckily i had my starbucks training to keep me a lil afloat for the first day. but i dun think it'll last me that long. cos i'm in the process of getting a real job. something that i can do for long. but for the cookie boy, i'm just glad i've got something to do to let time fly and yet be productive.

ok, so my first day is over and done with and doin the shift with james and matt at the helm was fun. i met a lot of diff people aka customers and yeah they never cease to amaze me.

the 'i know what i want and i dun need your help' guy

well this guy is one classic example of a guy not letting his ego down. so he was browsing around and i'm like, 'hi there, can i help you?' mind you it's my first day at work but i've browsed through the sales catalogue. so he went... 'errrmmm hold on' so yeah i mind my own business and let him choose. after 5 minutes of mind boggling choices and a crowd forming up behind him, he pointed,'errrmmmm, i'll have that brownie'. and yes, 5 minutes for you to choose one huh.... amazing...

the tai tai wannabes

this one has to be my favourite for the day. came these two young ladies with flashy sunglasses and fabulous dresses. so they came in and took their time to choose and make up their mind about what to get... 'rich pple'... and yes, looks can be deceiving cos when i heard this, my mouth went gaping not because of how she was dressed but by the way she spoke.

TT wannabe : you have 'geesa'?
me : *silently* wat the fark is 'geesa'?
[i knew i had trouble hearing but i asked her again]
me : sorry maam?
[and she replied the same thing. so i looked at james...]
james : errmm i dun think so. no such thing....
[and then it all makes sense when she went]
TT wannabe : how abt NETS?

-_-!!!

yeah there you go, another amazing case....

the little kids

ok, maybe you have no idea how smart kids nowadays are. cos they are really really smart. came this little kids with their mummies and they went, 'mummy can i have those brownies or cookies please?' perfect english to you? yes, perfect english to me. and how old were they? i'd bet they're like 7? amazed, i treated them like adults.

and there was this little girl, who was alone, and dun ask me why she's alone. pink little sweater and plaited hair. she was digging her purse frantically and at the same time looked up at the display shelf where i was standing and asked... 'may i know how much is that cookie?' and i went, 'it's $1.70' and she took another look at the rest of the stuffs available... and back to her little purse... then she looked up again... 'errrmmm what can i have for $1.20?' with those adorable eyes... man~ i'm like... the cheapest thing you can get is that thing for $1.70... so i told her...,'errmmm you only have $1.20 huh? errrmmm so which one wld you like to get?' and she pointed to the one she wanted. so i packed it up for her and said, 'ok i'll give this to you for $1.20,' and smiled... she said thank you, gave me the $1.20 and walked away alone to god knows where.

*only God knows whether it's a deed i've done or i'm a fool for doing so. either way, i'm cool with it.

the couple

yeah tonnes of couples went in and out of the store. but yeah i think it's sweet for guys to pay for the cookies or brownies that their future spouses *hopefully* wants. but i pity those who have a 'tai tai' partner. or either way which i did not encounter today. but girls... do spare the guys some slack aight. u're getting food stuffs wic can settle you for 3 extra value meals at mcdonalds at one go but nonetheless, with a little smile and some sweet talk, the guys adds a smile to his disappearing coloured notes and gleefully hand them over to me.

ok so that settled my adventure for today.... after closing the shop, james, matt and i headed down to the nearby makan place to have our supper or dinner or whichever you wanna call it. headed back home and yes i have to point this out, for all the mats or any relevant party who has that mp3 function on your goddamn phone, please for god's sake do not turn it up on the loud speaker. i stepped onto the mrt only to listen to 'mungkin nanti - peter pan' from this malay couple sitting in the 'lovers seat' of the mrt. yeah i know it sounds nice, but hey... u're in the mrt, so plug it into your goddamn ears and share it among the both of you ya! the other 60 people in the carriage would really prefer it that way i'm sure. and the best thing is... both of em can sing along to the song as the train closed its doors moving on to the next station. romantic? i'd call it pathetic. go karaoke. 8]

alrighty... seems like i've blogged enough. time is like 0252 by the way. time to rest i guess cos i'm having my soccer game later at PA. till next time then.

-whiner me-
